Let the salivating begin...
- WWE is working on a new Ric Flair DVD and hopes to have it on sale early next year.

Ok, who wants to start the fantasy listings for this DVD? I'm currently imagining WWE going all out and doing a "From The Vault" set for this
one. One DVD of career retrospective from Flair, maybe in an interview form with JR, with clips interspersed. Then, the second DVD being a long list
of great matches. The Flair Rumble, the Ricky/Flair match from Chi-town Rumble, the Flair/Funk match from Bash'89. (drooling). Of course,
that's about 2 1/2 hours of material right there. This might need to be a three DVD set.

If they put Flair/Steamboat in there, I'll buy it for that alone!
I also recall a Flair/Vader title match (I think it was Clash of the Champions early 90's - I don't fully recall) What I do recall is,
while the match itself was not a workrate classic, the raw emotion from the crowd (It took place in Charlotte NC) and from the performers was
tangible. HUGE pop when Flair beat Vader for the belt. That match should definitely make it to any Flair DVD.
"I like to drink wine more than I used to... anyway I'm drinking more."
"What I said was deliberately untrue. However, that does not make it a lie. It's what we call in sophisticated debate terms a
"implyo-obliqué-prevariclative," which is a statement that deliberately runs counter to the truth and is not factually supported — which is totally
different from a lie..."

I recently bought a 13-hour Flair tape from Ebay and the Flair/Funk, Flair.Steamboat and, if yoy can believe it, Flair/Garvin matches were all top
notch. Though I don't remember this, through most of the tape there are tons of people cheering Flair whether he is a face or a heel. I'd
say that this DVD will be something special.
The universe seems neither benign nor hostile, merely indifferent.

I'm guessing what it will be is a 90 minute fluff piece going into his life and career...you'll likely see brief comments from Arn
Anderson, JR, Triple H, and possibly guys like Austin and HBK.
The DVD will likely have some Bonus matches. off the top of my head there are a few matches that shouldmake the list.
Ric Flair vs Dusty Rhodes (first NWA title)
Funk vs Flair...the "I Quit Match"
At least one of the matches with Steamboat
At least one Randy Savage match...likely the Mania match
At least one match against Bret
The Rumble
WarGames from WrestleWar 91
Ric Flair v. Arn Anderson (Fall Brawl '95)
The last WCW match against Sting
Likely a match from his current WWE run...Flair vs HBK maybe?
Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if there wasa Triple H vs Flair match on the DVD.

Therein lies the problem, though. If it's only a fluff piece, like the "What?!" DVD, or the "The Game" DVD, then there really won't be
much room for the matches. The fluff pieces are generally a hour long. You can fit around 3 hours of stuff on a DVD, depending. The Rumble is over an
hour, the big Steamer matches are all around an hour, the matches with Sting and Vader are probably at least 30 minutes long. That's why I hopy,
I REALLY hope, they make his a two DVD set.

Wasn't the Hogaan DVD a 2 disc thing? I'm thinking they won't mess this up...but who knows...
So we've got HBK and Flair done...any shot of a Foley or Bret best of DVD???

There's been rumours of a Bret DVD for a while now. The Foley one was already kind of covered. The "Hard Knocks, Cheap Pops" DVD. VERY good
DVD, BTW.

I'd be disappointed if they didn't include Sting vs. Flair from the 1st Clash of the Champions. I think that was a starting point for me,
where I became less a WWF only fan and more a wrestling fan in general.
