ONLINE ONSLAUGHT
WWE TV Spoilers
June 12, 2002

by Rick Scaia
Exclusive to OnlineOnslaught.com

Though it was an eventful week for WWE, they went about the business of taping TV as usual.  Event after Monday's RAW, the roster split remained in full force for Tuesday night's tapings, and there seemed to be no major shake-up on the SD! brand's storylines.

As always, if you don't want the surprises of the rest of the week's TV shows spoiled for you, this is your last chance to turn back.  Otherwise, I give you -- compiled from e-mail reports -- this week's TV tapings/spoilers report:

WWE Sunday Night Heat
(Taped Monday, Airs Sunday)

  • D'Lo Brown was back as color commentator for the show.
  • Tommy Dreamer beat Shawn Stasiak
  • Raven beat Jeff Hardy by DQ
  • Goldust beat Steven Richards
  • D'Lo left the announce desk to beat Crash Holly

WWE Velocity
(Taped Tuesday, Airs Saturday)

  • Billy and Chuck beat Mark Henry and Randy Orton to retain the tag team titles
  • Kurt Angle beat Hardcore Holly in a rematch of last week's very good SD! match
  • Mae Young and Fabulous Moolah did a segment in the ring promoting Moolah's upcoming book
  • Jamie Knoble (w/ Nidia) beat Sho Funaki via submission
  • Rikishi beat Albert

WWE SmackDown!
(Taped Tuesday, Airs Thursday)

  • Vince McMahon opened the show by ordering an official contract signing between Undertaker and Triple H for their KotR title match.  The two sign, but when it looks like they're going to come to blows, security holds HHH back, allowing Taker to get in some cheap shots.  HHH eventually chases everyone off with a sledgehammer, and then goes on a sit-down strike (including through a commercial break), demanding a shot at the Undertaker tonight.
  • Back from commercial, HHH is still in the ring when Billy, Chuck, and Rico make their way out (for Rico's match against Rikishi).  After HHH and Billy exchange a few words (and sledgehammer blows), the tag champs scurry off.  HHH threatens more property damage until finally Vince grants him a SD! main event of HHH/Hogan vs. Undertaker/Angle.
  • Test beat the Hurricane in a KotR qualifying match.  After the match, Nidia and Jamie Knoble ran out and de-masked Hurricane.
  • In the second KotR qualifier, Hardcore Holly beat Tajiri with an Alabama Slam.
  • Backstage:  Hulk Hogan challenged Kurt Angle to a match at KotR during a promo.
  • The Big Valbowski and Billy Kidman beat Chris Jericho and Lance Storm when Kidman rolled up Storm out of nowhere.
  • Backstage:  Storm is interviewed about his match, and accuses Brian Hebner of counting three even though his (Storm's) shoulder was up.  He says Hebners have a history of screwing Canadians.
  • Backstage:  Kurt Angle goes to Vince and tells him he accepts Hogan's challenge.  Taker joins him and says he's a bit concerned about HHH's frame of mind going into tonight's main event.  Vince says not to worry, he has a plan.
  • In a re-do of a segment taped for last week's show (but edited out due to time constraints, I guess),  Reverend D-Von hit the ring and started an anti-masturbation promo, which eventually brought out Faarooq (who adopted a staunch masturbation-advocacy stance).  The two had a brief match, won by Faarooq after a spinebuster.
  • Trish Stratus and TE Linda beat Ivory and and TE Jackie when Trish pinned Ivory following a bulldog.
  • Backstage:  Creepy Vince returns, as he puts the moves on Stacy Keibler, telling her there's a side to him she hasn't seen.
  • Backstage:  Undertaker and Angle punk out Hogan, leaving him lying.
  • Angle and Undertaker won the main event match over HHH and Hogan.  Because of the backstage attack, HHH fought the whole match by himself, and eventually resorted to using his sledgehammer, which caused the DQ.  After the match, Angle continued the assault on HHH, and eventually Hogan did come out to the ring.  I'm not sure how much (if any) of Hogan's run-in will make it onto TV tomorrow, but the segment did end with Hogan taking off Angle's wig and HHH pants-ing Angle before Hogan and HHH posed for the crowd.

Be sure to check out the shows as they air later this week...  or just come on back to OO for the full recaps of all of them, courtesy of such luminaries as The Cubs Fan, Jonny X, and probably CRZ again (respectively).
