ONLINE ONSLAUGHT
WWE TV Spoilers
October 30, 2002

by Rick Scaia
Exclusive to OnlineOnslaught.com

The Fed has taped the rest of this week's TV...  and if you don't want to know what happens till you watch it for yourself, this is your one and only chance to hit BACK and find something else to read.

Otherwise, I present complete tapings results, as compiled from various e-mail reports:

WWE Sunday Night Heat
(Taped Monday, Airs Sunday)

  • "The Cat" Ernest Miller wrestled a dark match, defeating Johnny Stamboli
  • Mark Jindrak defeated Justin Credible
  • Rosie and Jamal beat two local workers
  • D'Lo Brown got a win over Steven Richards

WWE Velocity
(Taped Tuesday, Airs Saturday)

  • "The Cat" wrestled another dark match, this time losing to Val Venis
  • Billy Kidman and Funaki defeated Jamie Knoble and Crash Holly in the best of the Velocity matches
  • Chuck Palumbo beat Reverend D-Von
  • Chavo Guerrero beat a local worker

WWE SmackDown!
(Taped Tuesday, Airs Thursday)

  • Hot opener, as Edge defeated Chris Benoit, but only thanks to interference from Kurt Angle.  Benoit would go looking for Angle backstage, but to no avail.
  • Big Show dispatched Rikishi in short order, as they ramped up his main event push.  After the match, Show grabbed a mic and cut a promo saying he'd do to Brock Lesnar what he just did to Rikishi (crowd was not buying it).  Lesnar (defying Paul Heyman) went out and confronted Show, calling him a "giant piece of shit."  The words, however, did not come to blows.
  • Torrie Wilson beat Dawn Marie in a mud wrestling match.  The usual post-match hijinx followed, with a ref or ring announcer or somebody getting tossed into the mud pit.
  • Matt Hardy beat Tajiri in a typical "good-but-short" TV match.  Clean win came via the Twist of Fate.
  • Backstage: Stephanie (in a witch costume) prepared for a meeting with her dad.  But instead, a guy in a Vince McMahon mask came in and announced that Scott Steiner was going to sign with RAW.  Of course, it was Eric Bischoff behind the mask, who proceeds to seal the deal with a kiss (what?).
  • Eddie Guerrero beat Kurt Angle in the consensus Match of the Night.  Angle was able to overcome interference from Chavo, but when Benoit decided to get involved, it was too much.  Eddie hit the frog splash for the win.
  • The SD! Halloween Costume Contest was next, with dressed-up fans competing for... well, I'm sure there was SOME kind of prize.  Despite the participation of a very hot-looking Trish Stratus, Tazz awarded the victory to that Hulk Hogan-looking guy who you may have seen frequenting tons of wrestling shows throughout the midwest over the past decade.
  • Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio went to a no decision in the SD! main event.  The match was mostly Lesnar's power moves, peppered with sporadic hope spots for Rey.  After this went on for a while, Big Show ran out to cause the finish.  First, Rey tried to hit the (619) on Show, but Show caught him and hoisted him a few rows deep into the crowd.  Then Show got into the ring to beat down Brock.  As this happened, Paul Heyman walked away from the ring (playing up the angle that has Paul upset with Lesnar for accepting an "unwinnable" match against Show).  The show probably will end there on Thursday night, but of course, for the live crowd, they did a Lesnar comeback, with Show scurrying away from the ring...

Sounds like another two or three really good matches this week on SD!...  although you could argue that with putting Show into the main event mix, that's the least we fans can insist upon!

Still, check out SD! tomorrow, and be sure to check back with OO for full thoughts/analysis from the show on Friday.
