OO vs. WL: PPV PREDICTIONS WARFARE!
SD! presents No Mercy
October 12, 2005

by PyroFalkon
Independent Auditor for OnlineOnslaught.com and WrestleLine.com

Our contests are based on two criteria: points and percentage. The percentage is pure, with no bonuses or anything. With points, each match is given a certain point value depending on its place on the card; the first match is worth one point, the second worth two, and so on. I’m also keeping track of how well we do when guessing the main

events specifically. DQs, countouts, and interference are all irrelevant; all that matters is who the writer picked to win, and whether he did.

With WrestleLine not participating, I won’t bother listing any of their writers within the yearly stats part. Once they come back from hiatus, I’ll start listing them again.

The points were distributed at No Mercy as follows…

1 point: Animal/Heidenreich/Spaz over MNM
2 points:
Bobby Lashley over Simon Dean
3 points:
Chris Benoit wins the 4-way
4 points:
Ken Kennedy over Bob Holly
5 points:
JBL over Rey Mysterio
6 points:
Randy and Bob Orton over Undertaker’s credibility
7 points:
Air Juvi over Nunzio
8 points:
Batista over Eddie Guerrero

This month our big winner is… Adam Gutschmidt! Oh yeah, in the No Mercy Recap, Canadian Bulldog was all “I rock because I got seven out of eight right!,” but he failed to realize that Adam had his second perfect night! Moral of the story? Even when he only misses one, Bulldog still sucks. Ha.

What was I talking about? Oh, yeah, Adam went 8-0 with 36 points, his second perfect night ever (the other one was Backlash). At the other end was… well, a bunch of us, who went 5-3. The point loser was The Cubs Fan, who only scored 22.

Newcomer Hosehead may or may not have been with us. He went 5-2 for 23 points, not picking anything for the Juventud/Nunzio match. I’d assume he would have chosen Juventud, but we’re all about fairness here, and I can’t just give him points.

As a team, we went 56-15 (.789), which is just shy of our team record. We also averaged 29.7 points per writer. Nine writers participated.

The yearly OO stats are…
