Every year, Online Onslaught has tried to compile a complete reference document, combining everything from backstage rumor, to mark-ish elements like storylines and title changes, to "meta-wrestling" memories like OO's greatest quotes of the year... and 2001 is no different than any other year since 1996.

If anything, 2001's Year in Review is bigger (with 17 parts!) and better (that's up to you to decide, however) than ever. Here, finally complete and in chronilogical order, is the entire Online Onslaught Year in Review for 2001.

March, 2001
The WWF shocks the world and buys WCW.

April, 2001
Steve Austin goes heel, and the Rock takes a vacation.

May, 2001
Triple H suffers a year-ending injury as the WWF has an in-ring renaissance.

June, 2001
The Invasion is on as Booker T and Dallas Page debut on WWF TV.

July, 2001
ECW is brought back to resuscitate the floundering Invasion.

August, 2001
The indie scene gets its one month in the spotlight, as the HWA and MECW steal the the WWF's headline.

September, 2001
Terrorist attacks didn't stop the WWF from getting back to business in fairly short order.

October, 2001
Chris Jericho didn't turn heel over night, but he started acting like an asshole in October.

November, 2001
The Invasion is over, as the WWF kills off WCW. And Ric Flair and Jerry Lawler both return as a result!

December, 2001
For the first time, the WWF and WCW Titles are unified by one man, Chris Jericho.
