The WWF shocks the world and buys WCW.

April, 2001
Steve Austin goes heel, and the Rock takes a vacation.

May, 2001
Triple H suffers a year-ending injury as the WWF has an in-ring renaissance. 

June, 2001
The Invasion is on as Booker T and Dallas Page debut on WWF TV.

July, 2001
ECW is brought back to resuscitate the floundering Invasion.

August, 2001
The indie scene gets its one month in the spotlight, as the HWA and MECW steal the the WWF's headline.

September, 2001
Terrorist attacks didn't stop the WWF from getting back to business in fairly short order.

October, 2001
Chris Jericho didn't turn heel over night, but he started acting like an asshole in October.

November, 2001
The Invasion is over, as the WWF kills off WCW.  And Ric Flair and Jerry Lawler both return as a result!

December, 2001
For the first time, the WWF and WCW Titles are unified by one man, Chris Jericho.
